She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Pasquale Cocuzzo; her daughters, Deborah (Eric) and Danielle (James); and her grandchildren, Jessica, Alyssa, Nico and Kodi.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Charles G Schmitt Funeral Home (3863 Merrick Rd, Seaford, NY 11783). A Mass will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. James RC Church (80 Hicksville Rd, Seaford, NY 11783). A burial will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Long Island National Cemetery (2040 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735).
In lieu of flowers donations in Rita's memory may be made to the ASPCA http://www.aspca.org. or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
