He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Howes and Norman Howes; his brother Charles; and the mother of his children Jennifer Kimball. He is survived by: his daughters, Rebecca Howes (Alan Yanahan) and Emily Howes; his sister Rebecca Soergel (David); his close friend Dianne Faas; and his stepdaughters, Amanda, Julie, Denise and Audrey. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home (181 N Main St, Geneva, NY 14456). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dan's memory may be made to Whitman Chapter of FFA, Marcus Whitman High School, 4100 Baldwin Rd., Rushville, NY 14544.
