She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Markel and Susan Markel (Felice); her husband Dennis Bochert; and her siblings, John Sobus and Sandra Lee.
She is survived by: her children, Tim Shumway (Jeannine), Wanda Williams (David) and Renee Bush; her stepdaughters, Denise Wehrle (John), Annette Bochert and Maryjane Basile (Frank); her grandchildren, David, Destiny Shumway, Michael Matyjewicz Jr., Danielle Williams, Daniel Williams Jr., Jordan Colegrove, Timothy Bush (Darnae), Eric Bush and Kyle Bush (Adrienne); and her siblings, Rosemary Walker, Diane Hilkert and Francis Markel. She is also survived by six step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the New York State Veterans Cemetery – Finger Lakes (6632 NY-96A, Romulus, NY 14541). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Cyrus Garnsey III VFW Post 1323 (47 Fall St, Seneca Falls, NY 13148).
