He was predeceased by: his parents, James Koopman and Ruth Koopman (House); and his granddaughter Maeve. He is survived by: his children, Sonora, Maranda (Adam Ridley), Deena Koopman, Matthew (Sarah) and Nicholas Koopman; his granddaughters, Hazel, Paisley and Anastasia; his brother James J. Koopman, Jr. (Joanne); and the mother of his children Amy Koopman. He is also survived by nephew and two nieces; several cousins.
