He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis and Beverly; his son Robert Steadman; his brother Ronald Steadman; and his stepgranddaughter Brianne Margeson Carter.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Joyce Tandle of Seneca Falls; his sons, Jeffrey Steadman (Holly) of New Jersey and Tommy Steadman of Geneva; his grandchildren, Zophia Parker (John) and Zach Steadman; his stepgrandson Daniel Margeson (Lindsey) of Waterloo; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Mya Carter and Parker Margeson; his sisters, Virginia Bounds (Claude) of Rushville and Cynthia Steadman of Arizona; and his sister-in-law Josephine Steadman of Geneva. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
