He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. John D. Hammond and Daphne Hammond, Sr. (Bell); and his daughter Lissa Hammond. He is survived by: his wife Frederica Hammond (Davis); his daughter Julia Hammond; his siblings, Becky Backer and Bobby Hammond; and his grandchildren, Muriel and Rory Allen. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
