With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Herbert Yancey of Shady, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 29, 2026 at the age of 78. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Edward Yancey and Carolyn Malone; and his parents, Edward C. Yancey and Bertha E. Beyer Yancey. He is survived by: his children, Herbert Yancey Jr. (Katie) of Asheville, NC, Christina Yancey (Jay Corieri) of Buffalo, Suzanne Yancey of Corinth, NY and Marc Yancey of Utica; his granddaughters, Lucca and Anna; his siblings, Virginia Lyndaker of Lowville, Theodore Yancey (Mary) of Lowville, Timothy Yancey of Lowville, Gordon Yancey of Lowville and John Yancey (Amber) of Lowville; and his sister-in-law Arlene Yancey of Lowville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
