He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry Specht and Helen Popow Specht Blaney; his stepfather George Blaney; and his daughter Tammy Terrones Specht. He is survived by : his wife Susan Josenhans; his sister Carol Stier (Robert); his children, Robert Specht (Cathy), James Specht and Denise Specht Quesnell; his brothers-in-law, Stefan Josenhans (MaryAnn) and Erich Josenhans (Li); and his nieces and nephews, David Josenhans, Sara Lawrence (Justin), Andrea Grabowski (Greg), Alex Josenhans, Karina Josenhans and Gregory Josenhans.
