He is survived by : his wife Lillian Eichelt Lemister; his children, Adrienne Kain (Jeff) and Shaun Lemister (Rachel); his grandchildren, Chrystian D'Agostino of Florida, Taylor, Kristen, Madisyn Kain of Saugerties, Lyla, Hazel and Levi Lemister of Stone Ridge; his great grandchild Skylar Benjamin of Saugerties; his sister Wendy Mushlit (Paul) of Kingston; his nephews, Lucas Castiglione (Michelle) of Ohio, Phillip Castiglione (Erin) of Kingston and Paul Mushlit Jr. (Melissa); and his niece Victoria Lowe (Brian) of Kingston.

Janice Peterson wrote a sympathy message

“May he rest in peace - my memories of 'Mickey' go back to the late 1950's / early 1960's and they were all good memories of him and his family. I have many pictures of him growing up. Now his Mom can start to make lunch again for him up in heaven. My husband, George, is up in heaven too, so you better behave yourself up there or at least include him in your mischievous antics. I only met his wife a few times, but I pray that she will find peace in happy memories. Janice Moculski-Peterson”
