She was predeceased by: her parents, William Dobbs and Wilma Coon Dobbs Jr.; and her granddaughter Ashlee Ann Wheeler. She is survived by: her husband Douglas Shekell of Shortsville6; her children, Lorri Wheeler of Geneva, Ronald Wheeler of Bellona, NY, Mark Wheeler (Janet) of Clifton Springs, Katie Lyon, Jeff Wheeler (Joyce) of Phelps and Victoria Smith (Craig) of Palmyra; and her grandchildren, Sara McCloskey, Julissa O'Leary, Shaylyn MacGregor, Adam Wheeler, Shayne Wheeler, Samantha Wheeler, Nicole Philor, Jordan Lyon, Connor Lyon, Nicholas Wheeler, MacKenzie Wheeler, David Smith and Emily DeBoerdere.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cheney Funeral Home (70 Main St, Phelps, NY 14532). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Orleans Cemetery.
