With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Susan Johnson of Shortsville, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 14, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Susan find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arvid Karkkainen and Elenore Karkkainen (Wiita); and her husband David. She is survived by: her children, Kristen and Matthew; her granddaughters, Estella and Kendra; and her siblings, Richard Karkkainen (Bonnie) and Carol Whitehouse. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Halsted-Patrick Funeral Home (19 N Main St, Manchester, NY 14504). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
