He was predeceased by: his mother Catherine Theresa Flanagan; his mother-in-law Joann Benson; and his stepdaughter Tabitha Atwell. He is survived by: his father John Thomas Flanagan; his wife Shirley; his children, Kelly Flanagan, Cari Vosganian (Brad), Jaclyn Nolan (Curtis) and Matthew Flanagan, Sr.; his stepson Justin Atwell (Rachel); his sister Catherine Flanagan; his grandchildren, Megan Lynn Harrington, Katelynn Ethier (Aaron), Ryan Michael Mulligan (Kelly), Ashley Calkins, Thomas Donovan (Courtney), Gillian Calkins, Emily Calkins, Lucas Nolan, Landon Nolan, Luella Nolan, Matthew Flanagan Jr. and Ozzy Flanagan; and his great grandchildren, Adalyn Grace Harrington, Thiessen Carter Harrington, Rhona Ann Harrington and Harper Lee Ethier.
