He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Butler and Florence Butler (Burke); and his brothers, Fred, Raymond and Merlin Butler.
He is survived by: his wife Lynette Butler (Clark) of Sidney, NY; his children, Randy Butler of Mt Pleasant, SC, Joe Butler (Rita) of Island Park, NY, Christine Wright (Richard) of Sidney, NY and Kerri Monroe (Tim) of Sidney, NY.; and his grandchildren, Terezia Tarantino, Philip, Barry, Lucas Butler, Thomas, Patrick, William Wright, Emily, Doug Butler, Kaleb, Gabe and Jack Monroe. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the C. H. Landers, Inc. Funeral Chapel (21 Main St, Sidney, NY 13838).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Don's memory may be directed to the Sidney Fire Department, or a local Fire Department of one's choice.
