She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer W. Motz and Lillian C. Motz; her husband Robert H. Apel; her siblings, Paul Motz (Eveline), Lillian Wheeler and Thelma Koerner (Otto); her brothers-in-law, Walter Apel (Margaret) and Harold Apel (Rita); her niece Susan Hall; and her great-niece Carrie Ann.
She is survived by: her children, Ralph P. Apel of Hope, MI and Karen L. Potts (Michael) of Coats, NC; her nieces and nephews, Betty Avonti of Avoca, WI, Carol Fridmann of Silver Creek, NY, Nance Van Rooy of Apopka, FL, Richard Apel of Silver Creek, NY, David Apel of Rochester, NY and Terry Hall of Montgomery, MA; and her caregivers, Donna and Jill. She is also survived by great-great nieces & nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the James W. Cannan Funeral Home, Inc. (3155 Orchard Park Rd, Orchard Park, NY 14127).
