With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Zechman (Skaneateles, New York), born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 2, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Harold Poad and Florence Meyer; her children, Linda Zechman Vanholtz (Bruce) of Skaneateles Falls and Andrew Zechman of Manhattan; her grandchildren, Danielle Vanholtz of Skaneateles, Toby Vanholtz (Liz) of Milton, FL and Dylan Vanholtz of Greenville, NC.; and her great grandchildren, Owen Vanholtz of Skaneateles and Paris London of Skaneateles.

“Please accept my sincerest sympathy on the loss of Mrs. Zechman! She was my teacher at Herman Avenue Elementary School in Auburn.. Should I add, my FAVORITE teacher. I have many fond memories of Mrs. Zechman. When I got older, my Mom would take me to see the Soda Ash Six so I could see her. She was a true gem, and will be missed for sure. Lisa Jo Greenfield”
