She was predeceased by : her parents, George B. Derbyshire and Emma Cecelia Derbyshire (Ziegler); her husband Francis "Teeney" L. Kearsing, Sr.; her brother Richard Derbyshire; her stepson Francis L. Kearsing, Jr.; and her grandson Nicholas Whitmer.

She is survived by : her children, Debra Whitmer and Richard A. Maxwell, Jr. (Jennifer); her stepdaughter Kathleen Garofal (John); her brother Donald Derbyshire; and her grandchildren, John, Brianna, Stacey, Richard, Patricia, Courtney, Tara, Sean, Melissa, Emma and Cailin. She is also survived by several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
