He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Wagner and Edward Wagner; his nephews, Kenneth and Christopher Grant; and his friends, Robert and Lynn Hodgson.
He is survived by: his significant other Emily Wagner; his children, Jennifer Ludwig, Benjamin, Jacob, Joshua, Juliet, James, Jesse, Lauren Wagner, Alyson Wagner (Melanie), Robert Maresco (Lucy), Lori Palmer (Gregory) and Donna Barbuto; his sister Linda Grant (Kenneth); and his nieces, Christy Grant and Keri Quirk. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In honor of his memory, in lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where Edward received the utmost treatment, affording him many more years of life or VNS Hospice House of Northport, who took care of him with compassion and dignity as he transitioned into the arms of Jesus.
