Ignatius J. Rienzo Obituary

We bid farewell to Ignatius J. Rienzo of Hauppauge, New York, born in Bayside, New York, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 12, 2026 at the age of 98. Ignatius touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude Rienzo (Mangan) and John Rienzo; and his siblings, Mary Elizabeth Noll, John Joseph, Aloysius, Gregory and Francis.

He is survived by: his wife Maureen Rienzo (Keough); his children, Rita Rienzo (Elizabeth Roessler), James Rienzo (Sally Wright), Lucy Rogers (Gregg Rogers) and Justin Rienzo (Kate Howden); and his sister Bernadette Rienzo of Washington, DC. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Branch Funeral Home (190 E Main St, Smithtown, NY 11787). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church (280 E Main St, Smithtown, NY 11787).
