He was predeceased by: his wife Beatrice; his parents, Dennis Kirby and Margaret Kirby; his siblings, Margaret Foley (Frank), Patrick (Claire) and Dennis; and his son James E. Kirby Jr. (Linda).
He is survived by: his child Kelley Bowman (Edward); his grandchildren, Allison and Jimmy; and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Kirby and Lillian Munro.
