He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Donovan and Bernard Hughes; and his brother Kevin Hughes. He is survived by: his siblings, Marie Early, Brian Hughes and Dawn Baran. He is also survived by 3 nieces and 5 nephews, along with extended family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Fives Smithtown Funeral Home (31 Landing Avenue, Smithtown, NY 11787). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Raphael RC Church (600 Newbridge Rd, East Meadow, NY 11554). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Holy Rood Cemetery (111 Old Country Rd, Westbury, NY 11590).
