He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gosson and Mary Gosson (Coyne); his brothers, James and Richard; his in-laws, Louis Sr. and Margaret Valerino; and his brother-in-law Louis Valerino, Jr. (John).
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Valerino; his children, Renee Filippi (Dwayne Holcombe), Ronald (Lisa Messina), Randy (Jane), Robert (Jennifer Kinney) and Richard Gosson (Kathy); his grandchildren, Nicholas (Samantha), Thomas Filippi (Gina Lazara), Maddie, Nicole, Daniel Gosson, Lydia Ewell (Rich), Teresa Higgins and Stephanie Ellis; his great grandchildren, Nicholas Filippi, Jr., Lainey Grace Filippi, Chase, Carter Higgins, Emma Gosson, Walker and Forrest Ellis; and his sister-in-law Antoinette Valerino. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bagozzi Twins Funeral Home (2601 Milton Ave, Solvay, NY 13209). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Our Lady of Peace Church (203 Halcomb St, Syracuse, NY 13209).
