He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul E. Thorn and Elaine of Syracuse; his grandparents, Boyd, Jane Thorn of Havertown, PA, Forrest and Erma Paxton of Ransom Ill; his sister Sandy Ternosky; and his nephew Ian Ternosky.

He is survived by: his brothers, Paul Thorn (Jennifer) and David Kelpacki-Thorn (Kristin); and his brother-in-law John Ternosky.

In lieu of flowers Jon would have appreciated donations to the Solvay High School sports boosters in his name.
