With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joyce Scaia of Solvay, New York, born in Malartic, Québec, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Hurlburt and Alice Hurlburt (Scott); and her brother Gordon Hurlburt. She is survived by: her husband John A. Scaia Jr.; her children, John A. Scaia III (Mary Jo) and Elaine Scaia-Harbinger (Kirk); her granddaughters, Taylor Murphy (Christopher), Emily Koster (Thomas), Stephanie Scaia, Cara Harbinger and Kendra Harbinger; her great grandchildren, Kennedy and Hudson Murphy; and her siblings, Betty Santorella (Hurlburt), Lana Wallagora (Hurlburt), Bill Hurlburt and Scot Hurlburt. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
