With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Mary Modafferi of Solvay, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Mary left this world on April 28, 2026 at the age of 78, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Kilcoyne and Eileen Kilcoyne (O'Sullivan); her siblings, Donald and Doreen (Bob); and her brother-in-law Bob Griffith.
She is survived by: her husband Tony Modafferi; her daughters, Gina LaPlant (Joe), Angela Sutton (Mac) and Amy Stanton (Russ); her grandchildren, Brooke, Garrett, Trevor, Bryce, Bryant, Mason, Jesse, Blake, Brayleigh, Connor and Dominique; and her sisters, Gail (Larry), Barbara (Bill), Connie and Maryann (Tom). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Marianne Cope Parish - St. Cecilia (1001 Woods Rd, Syracuse, NY 13209). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St Marianne Cope Parish Food Pantry, Solvay High School Music Boosters, or a local charity of your choice.
