He was predeceased by: his parents, Pasquale Amato and Irene Amato; and his brother Dave. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Amato; his sons, Patrick Amato (Nichelle Howard) and Ronald (Kerri Amato); and his grandchildren, Crew Amato and Trevyn Howard.
