In loving memory of Lawrence D. Thorp of Somers, New York, born in Bronx, New York, who departed this world on September 30, 2025 at the age of 89. Though Lawrence may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lawrence touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Margaret; his daughters, Deirdre Thorp and Susan Thorp-Dillon; his son-in-law Peter Dillon; and his grandchildren, Michael Barbera, Claire Dillon-Semple and Grace Dillon.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Yorktown Funeral Home (945 E Main St, Shrub Oak, NY 10588). A Mass will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Church (137 Moseman Rd, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598).
