He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Michael Smith (Claire), Kelly Eddolls (Brian) and David Smith (Brooke); his grandchildren, Alex, Mark, Bree, Lance, Naomi Smith, Caitlin, Ben and Sonia Eddolls; and his sister Maura Gabriel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
