He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Grimes Williams of Southampton, NY; his daughters, Sarah Tompkins and Katherine Williams of South Africa; his grandchildren, Isabelle Tompkins Pieters, Sienna Tompkins and Henry Tompkins; and his great grandchild Alexandra Pieters.
