He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Carmelo and Dorothy Cancellieri; and his son Kevin. He is survived by: his wife Francisca; his children, Brian and Megan (Callahan); his grandchildren, Finn, Charlotte Cancellieri, Harper, Lily, Piper and Adleigh Callahan; his sister Patricia Depew; and his child Dr. Cancellieri.

In lieu of flowers, his family asks that donations be made in his memory to National Great Pyrenees Rescue in Beacon, NY.
