He was predeceased by: his father Walter Schoonmaker; and his stepmother Sandy Schoonmaker. He is survived by: his mother Jean Jones; his wife Lisa Schoonmaker; his children, Gavin Schoonmaker, William Plaza, Nicholas Plaza, Allison Schoonmaker and Emma Schoonmaker; his stepfather Brad Wilson; his siblings, Cheri Shafer (Scott), Casey VanHorn and Walter "Irv" Schoonmaker (Dusty); and his siblings' children, Caleb, Olivia and Grace.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery (111 Craigville Rd, Goshen, NY 10924).
Donations in Adam's name may be made to a veteran's association of the donor's choosing.
