She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas W. Merkel; her brother Paul Ochs (Jannelle); and her parents, Julia Ochs and Charles Orrin Ochs. She is survived by: her children, David Merkel, Kevin Merkel, Tracy Martin and Karen Panella (Anthony Jr.); her grandchildren, Justin, Kevin, Meagan, Shannon, Scott, Miranda, Dathan Jimmy, Saveria and Antonia of Anthony, III.; and her great grandchildren, Jack, Liam and Kira.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church (55 Martha St, Spencerport, NY 14559).
In lieu of flowers friends may make contributions to St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in her memory.
