He is survived by: his wife Angela Shortino-Calandra; his daughters, Kristin Calandra and Dana Root (Richard); his stepchildren, Deborah Banser and William Banser (Elise); his granddaughters, Rene Root, Mia Root, Emily Shaffer and Olivia Banser; his sister Gabrielle Barone; and his brother-in-law Frank Shortino. He is also survived by nephew, nieces, and cousins.
