He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Susan Alpert; his daughter Sharon Alpert (Kevin MacEwen); his grandchildren, Millie and Jesse; his sister Sandi Farina; and his parents, Rose and Ben Alpert. He was also cherished by uncle and cousin to his many extended family.

“I had the good fortune to meet Stan and train him in the Martial Arts for the past few years. He was a skilled martial artist with a broad knowledge of several styles. We would meet each week in the morning for 2 hours and then go to the diner for breakfast and exchange ideas. Class evolved into a meeting of Good friends and Stan brought us all together. We just had our last breakfast and I will miss my great friend, martial artist,PT doctor and prolific author. Rest in Peace, Shihan AL SHACKIL”
