We announce the death of John B. Gilmore Sr. of Stamford, New York, who passed away on August 7, 2026, at the age of 88. John will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Gilmore and Arnold Gilmore; his former wife Sheila Gilmore; his son Mark Gilmore; his siblings, Lawrence Gilmore and Marion Gilmore; his nephew David Gilmore; his son-in-law James Teddy; and his sister-in-law Shigeko Gilmore.
He is survived by: his wife Eve Bligh-Gilmore of Stamford, NY; his children, John B. Gilmore, Jr. (Karee) of Sidney, NY and Cynthia Gilmore Teddy of Charlotte, NC; his stepdaughters, Jackie and Susan Bligh; his daughter-in-law Amy Gilmore; his grandchildren, Kortnee, John, Eric, Carletta, Matthew, Brennan, Spencer, Meredith and Mattingly; and his nephew Robert J. Gilmore. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
