Anneli Alperin Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on June 1, 2025, at the age of 91, Anneli Alperin of Staten Island, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Anneli leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Anneli may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

She was predeceased by: her husband Lee. She is survived by: her children, Anna-Liisa (Steve) and Martin (Robyn); and her grandchildren, Aileen, Claire, Jason and Ava.

While in the United States, Anneli continued to involve herself with the Finnish community through the Finlandia Foundation and dance traditional dances with a Finnish dance group while wearing traditional Finnish Folk costumes.
