She was predeceased by: her parents, Bonnie Larue and Judge James C. Short; her nephew Jeffrey Hunter; and her brother-in-law Floyd Hunter. She is survived by: her siblings, Jimmie LaRue Short, Virginia Short Hunter and Barbara Short Haskew; her friend Patricia Mayes; her siblings' children, Allyson Hunter Ordung, Bonnie Haskew McMullen, Holly Haskew Tambling, Christopher and Farley Hunter; and her brother-in-law Jerre Haskew.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home (2819 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org) or Richmond University Medical Center and would be greatly appreciated.
