She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Albert Halat; her children, Peter, Elizabeth and Anthony Halat; her sisters, Louisa Culotta and Margherita Mitchell; and her nieces and nephews, Andrea Culotta, Daniel Mitchell and Benjamin Mitchell. She was also cherished by her family, friends.

Henrietta studied education at CUNY Hunter College, where she made a significant contribution to the lives of countless students in Staten Island.
