She was also cherished by her daughter Jennifer Quick who is married to Walter Quick Sr. and their daughter Sapphire Quick and sons.

Someone wrote a sympathy message

“I met Ms Dow at McKee High School January 2002. We became friends. She had retired from McKee H.S. and we kept in touch for a while. I called her phone which was disconnected. On November 13 after work, I took a nap and had a clear dream: she was inside her home and she heard me speaking to someone and she called out to me and said, "You didn't call me." I started laughing as I walked towards her to say that I called. But I woke up feeling curious about her. Rest in Peace Miss Dow.”
