George Strype Obituary
We bid farewell to George Strype (Staten Island, New York), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 26, 2026 at the age of 85. George touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Strype and Margaret Strype (Magee); his former wife Joyce; his siblings, Richard (Mary), William "Reggie" (Catherine), Raymond (Dorothy), Joseph (Joan), Vincent (Joan), Gerry (Patricia), Michael Strype, Josephine Ford (Edward) and Margaret "Peggy" Mattamira (Vincent); and his siblings-in-law, Peter Clark, Ralph Lancellotti and Ellen Strype.
He is survived by: his children, Michael (Kim) and Kelly Lanza (Peter); his grandchildren, Taylor, Ryan Strype, Peter, Joseph and Alex Lanza; his siblings, Mary Strype, Natalie Clark, Regina Lancelotti, John Strype (Patricia) and Robert Strype; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Strype and Lucille Brown (Michael). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
