She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Sokolowsky; her parents, Anastasia Gorman and Michael J Gorman; her daughter Mary Sokolowsky; and her siblings, William Gorman, Dorothy Formicola, Agnes Schneider, Tasha Monroe and Pinocchio.
She is survived by: her daughter Lynne Ellen McNamara; her son-in-law John McNamara; her grandson Ryan Gavin McNamara; her friend John W. Crawford; and her sister Ann Babula. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Gertrude was also the President of the St. Vincent de Paul Society in her parish and also volunteered at fundraising events at the American Cancer Society on Staten Island.
