It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan Wegener (Staten Island, New York), who passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, John Bischoff and Mathilde Bischoff; her husband Ralph Wegener; and her sister Emma Toth. She is survived by : her children, Susan Hansen (Leif), Cheryl Monahan and Gary Wegener (Jill); her grandchildren, Kristen Harring (Chris), Kevin, Kerri Monahan, Glen Hansen, Nicholas, Daniel and Gary John Wegener; her great grandchildren, Jameson and Emily Harring; and her sisters, Gloria Shaw and Gail Fries. She is also survived by nephews and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Bedell Pizzo Funeral Home (7447 Amboy Rd, Staten Island, NY 10307). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Bethel Um Church (7033 Amboy Rd, Staten Island, NY 10307).
