We are sad to announce that on June 14, 2025, at the age of 88, John Leto (Staten Island, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint John leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He is survived by: his fiancée Maryann; his daughter Maria; his siblings, Rochelle, Tony and Joey; and his grandsons, Cristian and Brandon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, stepchildren, step grandchildren.
His commitment to public service was further exemplified through his invaluable contributions to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), where he cultivated lasting friendships and left an indelible mark on countless lives.
