She was predeceased by: her parents, Tony Cotroneo and Katie Cotroneo; her husband John Capone; and her brother Lou Cotroneo. She is survived by: her children, John Capone (Danielle Capone) and Kathy Capone Marie (Michael Marie); her grandchildren, Michael (Anna), Matthew (Rose), John (Alison), Victoria (AJ) and Nicole; her great grandchildren, Luca, Tony and Viviana; and her close friend Michael Yonts.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Casey Funeral Home (350 Slosson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314-4512). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of Saint Rita (281 Bradley Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314). A committal service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Resurrection Cemetery (361 Sharrott Ave, Staten Island, NY 10309).
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes contributions to the Kidney Cancer Association (kidneycancer.org) in honor of Marie and thousands fighting every single day.
