Michael leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Michael’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Barro and Angela Barro. He is survived by: his siblings, Jack Barro and Carole Zaffarese; and his brother-in-law Dan Zaffarese. He is also survived by one niece, two nephews and six grand nieces.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Hanley Funeral Home (60 New Dorp Ln, Staten Island, NY 10306). A Mass will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Rosary Church (80 Jerome Ave, Staten Island, NY 10305). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at the Resurrection Cemetery (361 Sharrott Ave, Staten Island, NY 10309).
