Nicholas Carrasco Sr. Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nicholas Carrasco Sr. at the age of 37. Nicholas left this life on October 7, 2023, after battling numerous health issues.

Nicholas was a smart, funny and loving person who enjoyed life. He loved drawing, fishing, bicycling, baseball and listening to hip hop music. More than anything else, what he loved most was spending time with his son, Nicholas Jr. They spent countless hours practicing baseball together, creating memories that Nicholas Jr. will cherish forever.

Nicholas graduated from Tottenville High School in 2004. During high school he worked at the pony rides at the Staten Island Zoo and loved taking care of the ponies. After high school Nicholas worked with his father to learn the floor covering trade, eventually joining the Carpenter's Union, Local 2287.

Nicholas is survived by his parents, Nancy and Joseph Carrasco and his beloved son, Nicholas Carrasco Jr. He is also survived by his faithful dog Sparky.

Visitation will be at Harmon Funeral Home, 571 Forest Avenue, Staten Island on Tuesday, October 10th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Harmon Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 11th at 10:30 am followed by burial at Ocean View Cemetery.
