He is survived by: his girlfriend Maryann; his daughter Lori DeSantis Shaps; his son-in-law Dr. Jeffrey Shaps; his grandchildren, Caitlin Marie Gonzalo, Brittany Lorin Spampinato and Dr. Richard Gonzalo (MD); his great grandchild Emma Lorin Spampinato; his sons-in-law, Michael Melgar and Robert Spampinato; his pets, Crystal and Opal; his grandson Dr Richard Joseph Gonzalo; and his great grandchild Emma Lorin.
Pat's favorite pastimes included donating to various philanthropic organizations, watching sports—especially cheering on the Mets and Giants—and enjoying episodes of "The Big Bang Theory.".
