He is survived by: his wife Vera; his children, Nina, Joanne and Peter; his granddaughter Kristen Long (Michael); his great grandchildren, Matthew Sweeney, Kaylee and Aubree Long; and his brothers, Robert (Mecky) and John (Ellen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
