Though Robert may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Robert touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fermin Gonzalez and Patria Estella Charneco. He is survived by: his sons, David Gonzalez and Robert. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home (2819 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Clares R. C. Church (110 Nelson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10308). A burial was held on Friday, September 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Resurrection Cemetery (361 Sharrott Ave, Staten Island, NY 10309).
