She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Leo Cooney and Helen Doran Cooney; her siblings, Richard A. Cooney (Nora Cooney), Stephen P. Cooney and Anne W. Cooney; and her former husband Roger Swigert.
She is survived by: her significant other Phyllis Fichtenholtz; and her sibling's children, Elizabeth Alexander, Jeremy Cooney (Diane Lu) and Edward Cooney.
