We announce the death of Wendy E. OldShield of Steamburg, New York, who passed away on September 9, 2026, at the age of 72. Wendy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Wendy will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Wendy will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Wendy’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert OldShield and Delores Jimerson; and her brothers, William "Butch" OldShield and Robert OldShield. She is survived by: her daughters, Fawn Reibling (James) of Dubuque, IA, Allison McIntee of Toronto, ON, Kerri Swiech (Donald Watson Jr.) of Olean, NY and Katrina Ray (Jim) of Salamanca, NY. She is also survived by five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke INC Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
